GU10 Bulbs - Halogen and Low Energy

The GU10 bulb is a very popular light bulb. It is a 240v mains voltage bulb and therefore does not need the use of a transformer. This labour and money saving feature has lead to it being used more commonly than its 12v MR16 cousin. The GU10 lamp has a very obvious cap, which is removed with a twist and lock action. The GU10 base has two small pins with tops much like a standard household screw or nail.
